Local Attractions
If you want to take a break from the fishing and leisure activities at Little Moose Lodge; there are numerous other attractions listed below, all are within a hours drive from our resort.
Sportsman Landing - Small convenience store with slushies, soft ice cream, hot dogs, pizza, a small tackle and grocery section. Beer, wine and liquor also sold at the store that is a 100 yard hike down the shoreline from Little Moose Lodge.

Emo Stock Car Races - The Emo Speedway, a quarter-mile high bank clay track, hosts the Borderland Racing Association's Street Stock, Wissota Modifieds and Mini Sprints on Saturday nights through the spring and summer.

The Norlund Chapel in Emo - It is known as the steeple that lost its church. The originalchurch was built in 1935 as St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, with a 12-meter high wooden steeple, topped with a 2-meter high wrought iron cross, but the church was destroyed by lightning in 1971, and only the steeple survived. It was later re-built with desgin around its steeple, and the church is considered one of the smallest churches in the world and can sit only 8 people.
Chapple Museum - Historic museum located in hamlet of Barwick open May, June and September open Friday & Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. July & August open Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Barwick Lighthouse - The lighthouse is located on the waterfront in Barwick. It represents the historic ties to the Rainy River and the early settlers of Chapple.
Sioux Narrows Souvenir Shops - Three souvenir shops with a large variety of gifts and art. Dining, mini-golf and ice cream stands all within walking distance of each other.

Manitou Mounds - Wah-Chi-Wah-Nung historical centre is one of the most significant centres of early habitation and ceremonial burial in North America. The centre features galleries and exhibits, which display different points of the last 10,000 years of aboriginal history including a 3 km walk along Rainy River, a teepee camp and village reconstructions. Kitchen Creek Golf Course - Rated one of the best 18-hole golf courses in Northwestern Ontario, Kitchen Creek Golf Club is located 8km west of Fort Frances on Highway 11. Kitchen Creek offers a complete, full service course with picturesque fairways and immaculate greens. Shop in the Pro Shop, dine in the club house or enjoy a refreshing beverage on the course.
Heron Landing Golf Course - This beautifully groomed course and unbeatable scenery make a round of golf well worth the trip to the Heron Landing Golf Course, located just 2 km east of Fort Frances on Couchiching First Nation Reserve.
