Perch are abundant in all of the lakes of the Clearwater-Pipestone Chain. Typical size is 10 inches, though humpback perch up to 14 inch can be caught. Perch are readily available right in the bay of our camp, kids spend hours entertaining themselves catching them from our docks.
Black Crappie are not native to Canadian waters but never-the-less are thriving in the South Lakes on our chain. We don’t know when they were first introduced but each year they have become more prolific. Crappie slabs in the 14-17 inch range are very common.
