Little Moose Lodge - 2010 Season Dates & Rates
Resident and Non-resident archery season begins September 18, 2010.
Non-Resident muzzle loader season is October 2-9, 2010.
Non-resident rifle season for antlered Whitetail deer is from October 9 through November 13, 2010.
Our prime hunting weeks are scheduled around the rut period:
Nov.6-13, 2010 openings still available for guided hunts
Oct.30-Nov.6, 2010 week is booked for guided hunts
Oct.23-30, 2010 week is booked for guided hunts
Earlier dates and length of stay are also available. Archery is not popular in our area, so we encourage archers to come up and enjoy an Ontario deer hunt.

2010 Weekly Guided Whitetail Hunt includes:
6 days and 7 nights
2 or 3 bedroom cabin
all linens and towels
transportation while hunting
6 full days with guide
care of your game
The weekly rate per hunter is $1325.00 USD plus taxes.
Sorry we no longer offer meal in our hunting plans.
Rate is based on two hunters per guide.
We require a deposit of $500 USD per hunter.
From September 18th through to October 9th, we also include a boat and motor with one full tank of gas so you can take advantage of some spectacular fall fishing during your week of hunting. We are also more flexible and if necessary will accommodate a single hunter, rather than two hunters per guide. Weekly rate remains the same.
Non-resident deer hunting license is $193.25 CAD
Outdoors Card (good for 3 years) is $9.00 CAD
Export Permit is $35.00 CAD
Big game export permits are required to export your deer out of Ontario. Permits are available in Fort Frances, ON.
2010 Weekly Resident Whitetail Hunt
For resident hunters who do not require a guide we have one cabin available. The three bedroom cabin sleeps up to 8 persons and is available from $300-$400 CAD per person depending on number of people in party. For prime weeks book early.

proper documentation to enter Canada such as your passport
a current or expired hunting license from Ontario or your home state is required so we can issue you an Ontario hunting license
hunter orange jacket and head wear
your personal safety harness/lanyard
portable climbing tree stand if desired
enough warm clothing to dress in layers the weather could be well above or below freezing with rain, wind, sunshine, sleet or snow.
felt lined boots
scent free bag for hunting clothing
indoor footwear such as slippers-cabin floors can be a little cool
rifle and ammo, we recommend you use a .270 to .300 caliber
shotgun for small game hunting
bow and arrows if archery hunting
gun case for use while being transported to and from hunting areas
hunting knife, field glasses, scent eliminator, game calls, back pack, flashlight & survival gear
hand held GPS unit is useful
small portable propane heater and bottles for warmth in your blind
game bag if skin will be removed- most keep hide attached for trip home
nicotine substitute - NO SMOKING PERMITTED while in the stand or blind
toiletries such as tooth brush and paste, hand soap and shampoo, we provide towels
alarm clock (wind-up or with battery back-up)
camera
groceries for breakfast and snacks (grocery and liquor stores within 1/2 hour drive from lodge)
thermos if you want us to send out coffee with you
medications or prescriptions you may require
fishing gear if opportunity arises because of early tag fill
Under most hunting conditions you will be in your stand from first light till dark, so be prepared with enough warm clothing. We want you to hunt rather than just trying to survive the day.
